Join their fantastic team as a Senior Purchasing Expert - Textiles. This role is crucial in fostering global supplier relationships, identifying new products and services, being responsible for production processes, and optimizing costs.

What you will do

• Strategic Procurement Development: Develop and implement effective sourcing and purchasing strategies.
•            Market Research: Investigate potential suppliers (mainly in Asia), market trends, and alternative products or services to make informed decisions.
• Supplier Selection: Evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities. This often involves an RFP or RFQ process.
• Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to reach favorable agreements, including prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other contractual conditions.
• Contract Management: Formalize agreements through contracts, ensuring both parties adhere to the terms. Set clear performance metrics and expectations.
• Coordinate Procurement and Production Processes: Manage purchasing activities and ensure performance standards are met throughout production. Enhance procurement and production processes and policies for efficiency and effectiveness.
•           Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability. Regularly review and refine sourcing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Refine forecasting methods, manage the procurement budget, and implement cost-reduction strategies, including exploring new suppliers, renegotiating contracts, or adopting new sourcing technologies and practices.

‍Skills & Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Procurement or Buyer positions
• Experience in the procurement of sportswear, outerwear, apparel or textile consumer goods is needed
• Availability to work on-site in Budapest, Hungary
• Business level English knowledge is a must, since we have an international team and international partners
• Knowledge and experience in overseas procurement procedures and regulations
• Proficiency in Google sheets or MS Excel
• Strategic mindset, proactive and result-oriented attitude
• Positive and results oriented mindset
• Great communication and negotiation skills
